Kaija Dahlstrom, M.S., CCC-SLP
Kaija completed her Bachelor of Arts in Communication Sciences and Disorders at the University of Montana and her Master of Science in Speech and Hearing Sciences at Washington State University. As a live-in Au Pair in Australia, Kaija experienced everyday life with a family consisting of two autistic children. Observing the impact of augmentative and alternative communication on one of these kids led Kaija to develop a passion for working with young AAC users and children with developing language. As a Speech Language Pathologist, Kaija incorporates her client’s interests and passions in addition to focusing on family values and goals. She aspires to support clients in using functional communication to access activities that help them laugh, learn, and thrive in all environments. Kaija loves spending time outdoors, rafting, skiing, gardening, and hiking with her husband, dogs, and goats. If there’s a pretty sunset nearby, she is likely climbing a mountain to catch the best view of it.
