Elizabeth Myers, MS, CF-SLP
Beth grew up in a small farming town in Western Washington. Her family had a milk cow, and they made butter and cheese. She and her three siblings also played old-time fiddle music together in a family band. In high school, Beth spent a year as an exchange student in Peru, where she learned Spanish and how to live in a very different culture. After graduating from high school, she attended Dartmouth College, where she studied French and Italian, then spent the next 16 years living in Japan, South Korea, India, California, Hawaii, and Italy as a military dependent. In each posting, Beth focused on adapting to cultures where she lived, making friends, contributing to the local communities through volunteer work, studying the local languages, and raising her children.
Beth moved to Missoula with her four children to start a new career in 2019. Beth was drawn to Speech Language Pathology because it allows her to help people with swallowing and communication disorders achieve their goals. Two of Beth's children benefitted from speech therapy. Speech therapy helped her children to feel more comfortable and confident while communicating, which helped them make friends and participate at school. Beth is grateful for this opportunity to provide therapy that is fun and meaningful, while also evidence based, to help clients have better outcomes and live healthier, more fulfilling lives.
Beth enjoys knitting, sewing, baking, playing her mandolin, hiking, gardening, and reading. Most of all, she loves spending time with her family and friends.
