Chris Stoker, COTA/L
Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant

Chris Stoker is a dedicated Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) with deep roots in western Montana. Her passion for occupational therapy was ignited through exposure to her sister's in-home therapies as a child, leading to a lifelong commitment to supporting individuals with disabilities. Chris has served both children and adults with developmental disabilities in Missoula and Ravalli County for the past 17 years.
Chris earned her BA in Psychology from the University of Montana and an AS from Spokane Falls Community College's Occupational Therapy Assistant program in 2018, before beginning her career at Moving Mountains.
Over the past six years, Chris has led initiatives such as the development of literacy camps, establishing child-centered care within local community childcare centers, and the Moving Mountains Foundation's free developmental screening program. She is especially devoted to her work with underserved communities and providing culturally responsive therapy through her work at Nk̓ʷusm, a Salish Immersion School, and most recently by partnering with Tribal Health to provide access to vital therapy services for indigenous families.
Outside of her professional work, Chris enjoys reading, crocheting, and traveling. In the summer, she loves floating the river, kayaking in the Seeley-Swan Valley, and spending time with her family.
