Sara Goldstein, MOT, OTR/L

Occupational Therapist

Sara Goldstein is an Occupational Therapist from New York State. She holds Bachelors Degrees in Psychology and Occupational Science, and a Masters Degree in Occupational Therapy from Ithaca College. Sara has a background in the nonprofit sector as a Program Director, community instructor, and grant writer. Before relocating to Western Montana, Sara spent 8 years working as an early-childhood Occupational Therapist in New York City specialty private preschools and infant developmental centers, and as a Senior OT with the NYC Department of Education. In these settings, her work included partnering with families from a wide variety of international and culturally diverse backgrounds, as well as working with families and children experiencing homelessness, familial incarceration, and the foster care system.

As an OT, Sara works to achieve developmental milestones through whole-family growth and support. She specializes in play-based learning, social-emotional and self-regulation skills, sensory integration, early-childhood literacy and handwriting, and academic fine motor development. She has extensive experience fulfilling roles as a whole-family skills coach, an early-childhood school curriculum advisor, and as a special education and disability services advocate. Sara believes strongly in educational opportunities that foster whole-child and whole-family social-emotional growth, prioritize positive learning opportunities and positive behavioral supports, utilize trauma-informed and evidence-based principles, and establish ready and equitable access to appropriate programs. Sara is excited to join the team at Moving Mountains, to offer high-quality developmental services and experiences that will holistically empower young children and families to build a foundation for life-long learning and success. In her free time, Sara likes to play tennis, golf, hike, camp, ski, swim, kayak, practice yoga, draw, cook, and travel with her husband. She loves nature and animals, live music and sporting events, Sci-Fi tv shows, and non-fiction books.
