Therapy Dog
Barney is a 9-year-old Golden Retriever/Labrador Retriever mix. His mom Tessa adopted him in 2017 in Washington, D.C. Since his adoption he has lived in Baltimore, MD, Boise, ID, and now Missoula. Barney loves his job as the Moving Mountains therapy dog. He takes his duties very seriously and can be seen greeting anyone that walks into the waiting room. Barney attends therapy sessions when it's appropriate and he's available. He comforts clients when they are feeling upset, checks in on them if they fall down, and spends a lot of time snoozing in the corner. Barney is very calm and can also help clients who are nervous around dogs get more comfortable with them. When he's not at work, Barney loves being outside, especially hiking, wrestling at the dog park, and chasing squirrels. Barney likes to go wherever his mom goes, and luckily she usually lets him.
